Healthy Babies Healthy Children

Having a baby can be both an exciting and challenging time. Parents who can benefit from the program may receive home visits from a Public Health Nurse and Family Visitor.

Healthy Babies Healthy Children is a free and voluntary program for pregnant moms, and families with young children up to the age of six.

Home visits help you learn about:

  • Having a healthy pregnancy and birth
  • Connecting with your baby
  • How children grow and develop as well as what you can do to help
  • Being a parent
  • Breastfeeding, food and healthy nutrition
  • Taking care of yourself and your family
  • Other services available to you and your child in your community

If you are interested in the Healthy Babies Healthy Children program, call Region of Waterloo Public Health at 519-575-4400 and ask to speak to a Public Health Nurse.
