Crib Safety

Before buying a used crib, look for the label with the date of manufacture. Do not buy a crib if it doesn't have a label.

Cribs made before September 1986 do not meet government safety standards and are dangerous.

For more information about cribs, please call the Healthy Children Info Line at 519-575-4400 or the Health Canada Product Safety Branch at 905-572-2845 or visit the Health Canada Consumer Product Safety for crib safety information.
