The Region of Waterloo Paramedic Services is committed to providing the highest quality of pre-hospital emergency care to the citizens and visitors of Region of Waterloo. This is accomplished by meeting and exceeding standards as prescribed by the Ministry of Health and Long Term Care.
Staff are graduates of an accredited College Paramedic Program and are certified by our Medical Director, through the Centre for Paramedic Research (CPER) our Regional Base Hospital Program.
Region of Waterloo Paramedic Services is committed to training and to quality assurance processes, which will ensure the best care for the clients we serve.

Currently the Region simultaneously operates up to 21 units out of 11 stations on a daily basis responding to requests for service within our catchment area.

Crews located at stations have a target mobilization time of:
- Less than one minute for all Code 4 (Emergency) calls
- Less than two minutes for all Code 3 (Prompt) and Code 8 (Standby) calls
Region of Waterloo Paramedic Services is required to submit a Response Time Performance Plan to the Ministry of Health and Long Term Care (MOHLTC) each year. This new response plan is then published and compliance to the standard is publicly reported.
