Buying New & Used Products
Children's products may be purchased new, or used through ads, garage sales and second-hand shops. Before you buy, look over the product and ask the following:

Does the product meet all safety standards?

Are the manufacturer's instructions included?

Are any parts cracked or broken, and are exposed corners and edges smooth and rounded?

Are there tears in the vinyl or cloth padding?

Does metal tubing have end caps that don't come off?

Are there holes that fingers could get caught in?

Does the product have a wide, stable base and skid-proof feet?

Will the safety belt keep a child fastened in the product?

Are folding mechanisms covered or out of a child's reach?

Has the product ever been recalled?
