“We have four clinics confirmed this week, two of which are being offered in the rural areas” said Dr. Liana Nolan, Medical Officer of Health. “Priority groups have been expanded to include children from six months to 18 years of age (inclusive), and those 65 years and older who suffer from chronic medical conditions.” Dr. Nolan also noted that with the implementation of the wristband system, line-ups and wait times at the clinics are now minimal.

H1N1 clinics for the week of November 16th:
  • November 16 – City of Kitchener (Rotunda), 200 King St. W., Kitchener – 2-8 p.m.
  • November 17 – Wilmot Recreation Complex – 1291 Nafziger Rd., New Hamburg – 2-8 p.m.
  • November 18 – Elmira District Secondary School – 4 University Ave. W., Elmira – 2-8 p.m.
  • November 19 – Preston High Secondary School – 550 Rose Ave., Cambridge – 2-8 p.m.

  • Healthcare workers including first responders – EMS, fire and police
  • Pregnant women
  • Household contacts and care providers of persons at higher risk who cannot be immunized (e.g. children under six months of age) or who may not respond to vaccines (e.g. those who are immune-compromised)
