Last H1N1/Seasonal Flu Clinic of 2009

A reminder that Region of Waterloo Public Health is holding the last flu clinic of the year today at Forest Heights Collegiate in Kitchener.

“The holidays are fast approaching,” said Dr. Hsiu-Li Wang, Associate Medical Officer of Health, “but I’d like to remind people that the flu season lasts all winter long, and to encourage people to get both the H1N1 and the seasonal flu vaccine for complete protection, for themselves, their families and the community.”

“Region of Waterloo Public Health has offered 27 clinics to date, but we’d like to encourage everyone that hasn’t been immunized yet, to do so, said Dr. Wang. Region of Waterloo Public Health will resume H1N1/seasonal clinics in January, with four more clinics scheduled. In the meantime, flu vaccines continue to be available from most family doctors, some walk-in/urgent care clinics, and many employers are offering the vaccines through workplace clinics.

    January 4 – Public Health Cambridge office – 150 Main Street – Cambridge – 2-8 p.m.
