Some conditions that affect population health - such as employment, education, living and working conditions, and social support - can be especially challenging for groups such as newcomers to Canada. - Immigrants in Waterloo Region - this series of fact sheets provides a profile of immigrants in Waterloo Region. The data is from the 2006 Census by Statistics Canada, annual arrivals data by Citizenship and Immigration Canada, and 2008 data from the Canadian Community Health Survey.

- Immigrant Employment by Field of Study in Waterloo Region (October 2009) - this report by the Workforce Planning Board of Waterloo Wellington Dufferin, in partnership with the Waterloo Region Immigrant Employment Network, examines whether an immigrant's field of study had any bearing on the ability to succeed in the labour market.
