Bullying Manual
Region of Waterloo Public Health in collaboration with the Waterloo Catholic District School Board and the Waterloo Region District School Board produced the resource document entitled Imagine...A School Without Bullying: A School Climate Approach to Bullying Prevention. This manual includes a framework and a process that can be used in any elementary school community, along with numerous classroom resources that are matched to the grade level curriculum in Ontario.
Printable copies of the above manual by section are available here.
These resources may be reproduced with acknowledgement given to Region of Waterloo Public Health, Waterloo Catholic District School Board and Waterloo Region District School Board.
Training Handbook
The Imagine manual has been provided to Waterloo Region schools at training sessions for administrators, staff and parents. The training helps school communities develop and implement a school-wide plan to address and prevent bullying. The resources used to facilitate the training are contained in the following printable (pdf) copy of the "Imagine" Training Facilitator's Handbook available here.
The resources include agendas, slide shows, and handouts to conduct the training workshops. These resources may be reproduced with acknowledgement given to Region of Waterloo Public Health, Waterloo Catholic District School Board and Waterloo Region District School Board.

Safe Use of the Internet
For educators who want information and resources to share with children and youth, or who want more specific research about bullying, the following websites can be very helpful.
Links
Kids Help Phone
This easy to use website is aimed at children and youth. Its information is split into the “8 and under”, “9 to12” and “13 and up” age groups but has resources that parents and caregivers can use as well. From the resource page, click on the “More Links” tab where you can find a long list of web pages and a description of what they offer.
Promoting Relationships and Eliminating Violence
This website is for many audiences: children and youth, parents, educators, health professionals, media, public and private organizations, and members of communities throughout Canada. Its information comes from researchers who are being funded to study the issue of bullying and then share those strategies that have been found to work in preventing or stopping bullying. The website has many excellent resources that can be downloaded from http://prevnet.ca/DownloadFiles/tabid/192/Default.aspx.
Please note that you must scroll through the list of downloadable files to see what may be of interest to you. Also, before you can download any file, it's required to fill out a short survey. The quality of the materials offered is very high and well worth the small amount of time used to fill out the survey.
